Virus and Spyware Removal Guide
Virus and Spyware Removal Guide - updated 2th jan 2008
whith many spyware and virus infections you think you've removed the infections then they come back when you restart the computer.
To make it worse there are many companies selling scam software that claims to remove infections but they only make it worse they lie about what is infected on your PC and then charge you to remove these infections which just arent there
Windows XP/ME have a feature called System Restore this handy feature makes frequent system backups so that if you're kids or you mess up your PC you can roll it back to when it was working ok.
However a virus or infection can get backed up and hide in there so rolling it back to the other day won't always clear them out.
Once an infection has been backed up by System Restore it cannot be touched by any antivirus program so the only way to remove a backed up virus is to turn OFF System Restore, this deletes all backups then you do your scans antivirus and antispyware and then turn System Restore back on once the infection has been removed.
And it will take hours to do all the scans and you should use at least 2 different scanners to catch what the other did not and there are some excellentlent free scanners or on trails.links below.
